watching it it's so cool it so cool. Dev was enthralled by this game. I've actually never seen him so stimulated. Yeah, Superstar Dev. He's a liar. He's a liar. That was a late one for me. I have to get back into it. I have to shake the rust off, but got them their first

win of the preseason, and it was exciting more. I don't remember how long games are, but that

one felt really long. I mean, two and a half hours? Yeah, maybe more. Maybe more than that.

It was like a baseball game before the rule changes. Well, the fast breakdown is not going to take

nearly as long. Let's head to it. Nuggets offense was near perfect for the first five minutes. The ball is popping. Two games in a row, two times the first note tells the story. That offense, man, to start this game. They scored every time other than once when they had a turnover. But other than that, just getting good looks, man. It looked natural. It looked incredible. Jamal Murray had 10 quick points in that first quarter. He also looked incredible. But then the bench checked in. And they coughed up a double-digit lead with a lot of turnovers. The starters had a lot of turnovers as well. But the bench came in and said, hold my beer. we can turn the ball over better than anyone. 34, 26 nuggets at the end of one. And to start the second quarter, that second unit was just clunky. When they weren't turning it over, they would get into the half court and not get anything. It was almost like they were just trying not to turn the ball over. And that happened for the entirety of the game. Weren't getting into their sets with pace. The game got very physical. This is two games in a row. Two times the opponent has full court pressure Denver's ball handlers and gotten physical with him and forced turnovers. There were 31 turnovers tonight. That's insane. David Adelman got a technical foul in that second quarter. Peyton Watson had a turnover. Might have gotten raked on the arm right in front of David Adelman and he got a tech. Maybe something to think about or talk about later. We'll put a pin in it. Put a pin in it. Uh, Yokich was getting fouls. Yokish was in first gear for the majority of this. Even though the team was rolling, he was in first gear. He kind of got pissed, though. He got pissed with some of the physicality. And he went and I would say third gear for a second there. Just was taking him to school. 6456 nuggets at the half. Third quarter, starters looked phenomenal again. And they only played four minutes. And I think David Adelman was like, I've seen what I need to see. They got up to like 18 points or something like that. And it was just the starters doing whatever they wanted. Every stint they were in, it looked like they could do whatever they want. Third quarter was great. So Burry and Yokic gets subbed out quickly. Cam Johnson stayed though. Peyton Watson, who started this game also stayed in, as did Christian Brown. But then the second unit has a point guard problem. They're letting everybody, right now, I think David Adelman is just like probably senses that this is going to be an issue. Correct. So he's giving everybody an opportunity to handle it. Julian Strother, Peyton Watson, Bruce Brown, Jalen Pickett, Christian Brown even in some configurations. He's letting guys bring it up against pressure to see how they do. I don't know if anybody has a passing grade tonight. Not a single one of them. They all struggled with it. 9488 nuggets. The Raptors in the four, I didn't take any notes of the fourth quarter. The Raptors ended up taking a lead. Nuggets were able to hold on. Thanks in part to Doran Holmes coming in

I find myself watching Jamal kind of off the ball on either side of the floor right now

and seeing a guy who's doing the little things who's hustling.

He's really competing on defense. Offensively, I feel like he's just in a good rhythm. He and Yokic looked great together. We saw a little bit more of that. You think it's all about Yokic, but man, when I'm going, these pull-up jumpers will kill you. Yeah. He had this one one-on-one breakdown that was just so saucy. Against Mamu, I think, was it Mamu he had on an island? He's like, I know what to do here. Turn him into knots. Against a tryhard group defensively, for sure in this Raptor squad. I thought Murray looked great. I thought he looked pretty good in game one. I thought he looked great at times tonight. And I'm just really excited about the direction he's heading in, how he's played, and how that pairs with his quotes about wanting to get it right right now. Do you remember his nickname before the Blue Arrow? Do you guys remember it growing up? Do you remember? I don't. Glitch. Oh, that's right. They call him glitch because he has the jitteriness, you know, like his moves. He's not super quick north-south, downhill or whatever, but he is quick, like, just when he kind of gets into his bag. That move you're talking about tonight was like a glitch move. He just put like eight moves on, spun the defender around and then got to his spot, nothing but net.
