This is the Movies that made me with your hosts, Josh Olson and Joe Dante. I'm really psyched. Tell me, is this possible that I feel like, because we're going back now long enough that, who the hell knows what I remember correctly,

there was this movie that you would hear about in certain circles.

And while I cannot pass as a true hardcore horror nerd,

I am a fan and I have at least enough of a toe in that world that I have friends

who are very, very deeply immersed in it.

And this was back in the day, for some of our younger listeners,

there was a thing called VHS, which stood for,

what did that stand for Joe?

Very high, shit.

Very, very hard to see, actually, in retrospect.

And people would give you sometimes you you

know through the through the dark underground grapevine you get these tapes like third or fourth

generation of some great movie that someone had stumbled across somewhere and and there was this

vampire movie called habit and i remember watching it and there was this vampire movie called Habit.

And I remember watching it.

And there was something about,

and I don't want to dismiss the work that went into it by all these tremendously gifted craftspeople,

but there was something about it that really worked

on third generation VHS that just added

to the kind of discomfort of the thing.

And that was really the first time.
