Each week I talk to someone I find compelling and more to the point who is willing to talk to me and we sit around and

we chat about the great issues of the day and today we're going to hear from the

journalist Jake Tapper who is known primarily for his Twitter account but also for his near constant

appearances on CNN. His signature as many of you know is calling out

hypocrisy in interviews with powerful people.

There is something in me that gets really exercised

when I think things aren't fair.

And I can't psychologically explain it, except to say that it's just part of going it.

Jake and I spoke recently at CNN's Bureau in Washington.

muckity muck at CNN and the only reason I say that Jake is because I can never

remember all of your titles. What are all your titles? I am the anchor of The lead with

Jake Tapper, anchor of State of the Union. I watched your show by the way. I watch all of

your shows when I have when I have time, which is not that often.

That's kind of like a caveat, yeah, like you almost just said, I watch your shows except most of the time

when I don't watch your shows.

For the home listener, I want to just explain that Jake and I are actually friends.

Yes people in the dreaded MSM are friends with each other.

Yes. But I would say this to those of you who are listening and wondering if they should keep listening that we fight a lot.

So in a recent GQ profile of you, you were described as a 48 year old handsome Jewish man.
