Hey everybody thanks for joining us again for another shortened episode here of

Jake's takes kind of talking about what's current my views on on situations

that are happening that are unfolding almost in real time and I want to talk

about Justin Powell transferring from Auburn which was a shocker to a lot of

people in the transfer portal in general and kind of my thoughts on it. I'll

start with Justin I do want to say whenever a kid leaves I was always a player's

coach it's always about the players you wish the kid nothing but the best

and wishing evil upon an 18 19-year-old kid isn't the way to go and it shouldn't

be handled like that regardless of how upset you are how good of a player that

he was. Now when you look at the background of this this is not something that

happened overnight this was not a decision that was made out of the blue that

shocked a lot of people. He obviously went out with a concussion he was out

for a prolonged amount of time you look at the updates you're getting having

trouble with light all those things and that makes sense but there also are a

few other factors that are involved with something like that happens. Number

one the kids away from home which he made that choice to come to Auburn because

we honest with you a lot of the teams at home didn't want him and that's just

the truth and that was a bad evaluation by them and he's isolated we all know

the protocols with COVID and when you look at what led up to this to me and

without going money in the waters too much I think it was a combination of

things a combination of homesickness a combination of wanting to play not

being able to play and a combination of wanting to be the guy and you know
