Summary

Over the weekend, we lost a radio legend, Bob Kevoian, and Jake Query opened today's show by addressing his passing. But I want to begin with something that I know was talked a lot about yesterday.

0:06.7

And I thought about this a lot in terms of sometimes, as I said, on social media over the weekend,

0:18.3

there is a cruel irony where we lose somebody who always had the

right thing to say, who was always quick with the wit and a master of the word.

0:33.8

And yet when you lose someone like that, there's a cruel irony in the fact that there's really nothing that you can say.

2:09.4

Because I don't know that I've ever met anybody that was more selfless and inclusive than Bob

2:16.2

Covellion.

2:17.8

And allow me to explain.

2:22.0

Bob Cavoian was born and raised in Los Angeles.

2:28.3

Bob Cavoion went to college at Long Beach State.

2:32.6

And it was very surreal when I landed in Los Angeles to go to the race in Long Beach

2:41.4

when I got the message that Bob had passed.

2:48.4

And I sat on the airplane as everybody was debboarding and I just kind of sat there.
