On another action-packed week in the NFL. The NFL, by the way, knows no

off season. There will never be an off season. It's, this has been a startling off season in and of itself, but as one general manager said the other day,

he said, man, I'm more tired right now than I would

be during a regular season week so there's a lot going on right now but anyway I'm

going to be joined later in the podcast by Urban Meyer, the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We recorded a, I don't know, 30 to 35 minute discussion the other day, wrote about it a lot my column this week but you'll hear from

urban in a little bit but for now my

my fall I'm Paul from NBC Sports, we're going to have a discussion on some of the

some of the events that make this not on off season. But Paul, how are you doing?

So well, as I was reading your article last night and then again this morning, I'm

wondering, when you woke up last Friday morning, you got to lunchtime, what was your focus of this week's article going to be before it all went down?

Well, my whole thought was, was going to write a lot on Urban Meyer and I had no intention. I mean Urban Meyer was going to be the lead to the column and if some news happened over the weekend I've written about it probably not

very much because my conversation with Meyer was pretty wide-ranging.

So, but when that happened, when the two trades happened within 26 minutes on Friday afternoon,

that obviously changed everything, and so I sort of... afternoon that So let's get right into that craziness.

I mean now three days later Peter I mean people know the details.

I think now it's the analysis of why the teams did what they did and maybe trying to figure

out what they're going to do with this capital.

So let's get to San Francisco.
