I'm Steve Green with Bill Whittle and Scott Ott. This is Right Angle, brought you by the members of

Bill Whittle.com. Gentlemen, I don't know if you've been watching Jaguar over the last couple of

years, but this company is in trouble. As recently as 2018, they sold 181,000 cars.

Last year, they sold just under 33,000.

And in April, these are the most current sales figures available,

Jaguar sold 49 cars in the massive UK European market.

Now, U.S. sales figures aren't available yet, but they aren't going to be a whole lot better.

Jaguar went from selling 1,961 cars a month to 49 in just six years. I'm no industry expert,

but that looks bad, doesn't it? Does that look bad to you guys? This design rush reported today that the 97.5% plunge marked one of the steepest declines for a premium car maker in recent history.

And I'm going to say that's probably in all history.

Now, the company understood that something had to change.

And in November, you may have seen this already, it revealed its copy nothing rebranding.

If you missed it then, just take 30

seconds and watch this now. Scott, do you find it a little strange that there were almost the same number of cars

zero in the ad that JAG is making right now because, get this, they have actually canceled

every single Jaguar model except for one, and they're only producing those in limited numbers.

They're not making ads. They're making prophecy. It's just unbelievable. I mentioned to you

backstage that when I saw that commercial, I think if you're the target market for that commercial, which is as we're seeing, a vanishingly small number of people, it's probably great.

If you're everybody else, you spend the entire ad trying to figure out exactly what you're looking at.

But one thing you know you're not looking at is automobiles.

And to go from being one of this sort of admired uh at least i'm not going to say it was ever one of the top performance machines
