Welcome into the lounge presented by Draft Kings. I'm Garrett Downing and I'm joined by Clifton

Brown. We want to talk through some of the storylines of the last week here with the Ravens. Also,

Cliff is back from owners meeting. So after being wine and dined in the fancy hotel down there

in Florida, Cliff is back with us and wants to give kind of a recap of everything that he saw and all that

went on down to the owner's meetings.

But today we want to start the conversation on the most significant transaction of the

last week, which is not one of the Ravens made, but one that happened to a former Ravens player,

which is Davey on Clowny. And of course, he has signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers,

a reported two-year deal, two-year $20 million contract, up to $24 million over those two seasons.

So a really nice deal for Clowny at this stage of his career coming off a big

season. So it's one and done for Jadavia and Clowney here in Baltimore. What are your thoughts,

Cliff, about him going on to play with the Carolina Panthers and the Ravens not being able to

bring him back here? Yeah, I think for the contract that Clownie got there,

yeah, that was going to be out of the Ravens price range that, you know, they weren't going to

sign Clownie for that kind of contract. He loved playing here. The Ravens loved having him.

He had a tremendous season for the Ravens and he's a player that Baltimore

wanted back. But he wanted to, obviously going home was attractive to him, Carolina, where he

grew up in that area. And for that kind of money, I think they made him an offer as you say that

he could not refuse. So, you know, it's disappointing, I think, from a range of perspective,

not to have a player like that back, but there is plenty of time to, you know,

figure out where you want to go from here and to still have a great defense,

a very good pass rush.
