Could you tell us a little bit about him?

Yeah, so he has Asperger's and like AEDD, and I do as well that I didn't realize until you know just like a year ago.

Wow that's pretty interesting. I know a few people that I've taught with that got diagnosed later in life and some that actually got diagnosed because their children got diagnosed and they saw the similarities.

Yeah, yours after he was diagnosed.

So what age was he diagnosed? So he would have been, I think four. How old is he now?

11. So what was he doing or not doing that made you realize you had to get a diagnosis?

So it was interesting. I think part of it was just motherly instinct. I knew he was just

behaving differently than what I saw with like my friends kids and things.

Okay. He was hitting those milestones a little bit later, which I was totally okay with like I know we all have do things in our own timing in our own way but he wasn't really like making eye contact. He would, if there were certain noises he was covering his ears a lot. Things like he would go from like zero to ten real quick and sometimes like it would be really hard to calm him down.
