I think if there's one thing I've learned in 35 years that the opposite of poverty isn't

wealth, that opposite of poverty is dignity.

What we really yearn for as human beings is choice, opportunity, the ability to make

our own decisions, the capability to participate, interact, contribute and feel valued by society.
