I'm here with, of course, Young Kale. Kale, what's going on?

Not much. Good to be here. Good to be here for the last show. It's kind of strange. Not the last show of the year where you'll see us again in the new year.

Yeah, we're taking a little holiday break, but we'll definitely be back in the new year. And I don't know, I feel like we have some good guests coming up.

We maybe won't reveal them yet, but stay tuned. Please tune in in the new year. We would love to see you.

Speaking of the best guests, I'm super excited about today's guests. We actually have a surprise extra guest, Renee Rojas. That's right. You know him from Catalyst and Jacopan.

He's on the editorial board of Catalyst and writes frequently for Jacopan. His last piece just over the weekend was on the Chilean presidential election.

So that's obviously what we're going to be talking to him about in just a few minutes. He's actually here with us. So we're going to bring him on to talk about what happened in Chile.

And then who's our other guest, Kale?

We're also joined by Catherine Lou, a friend of the show. And hopefully I believe that we get to see.

I don't know what's going on in every one of your minds, but to the extent that I do know it's a fan favorite.

And so Catherine's going to be telling us all about why the American left today is so screwy and why we really have to get our shit together.

If that's not already obvious enough from our typical rapport on the Jacopan show, I figured it would be the right way to end 2021.

After a year of post Trump Biden administration and post Bernie.

Post Bernie. I mean, really, that's kind of the big thing. It's post Bernie. How does the left actually get its shit together so that we actually win.

So I think Catherine will hopefully give us like a nice floor to stand on and starting to figure out those questions in the new year.

I just want to quickly like give a super, super quick gloss and we'll get into it later with Catherine, but the Brahman left is a term that Thomas Piketty, the economist coined.
