would be seeing Jen right now, but Jen is off this week. She'll be back next week.

But boy oh boy, do we have a show for you? Because it is debate night. We got two

rounds for you. I think you're going to enjoy both of them. First up, we have Eric

Levitts versus Bronco Market Teach. They'll be discussing what the appropriate

left response to the invasion of Ukraine should be. They both were in some

articles where they've hashed out some of their differences. I hope this video

actually furthers that discussion. Then we got Slavoj Zizek versus

Vivek Chibber on the role of ideology and capitalism. Vivek has a new book out

that we've covered on the show before. You should check out that interview. But I've

thought it would be a good idea to put him in conversation with one of the people

who has done the most ideological critique against capitalism in the past few

decades. So buckle in and enjoy the show. As the brutal Russian invasion of

Ukraine has now got into its second month, the American left has produced a

number of responses to the situation. Much has been made of both the Russian

ruling classes aggression and the American ruling classes geopolitical

interests in Eastern Europe, as well as what is the most appropriate means to

achieve peace in the war and the region broadly. But this has provoked a number

of criticisms and responses. Most of them have been pretty dismissive, but

easily the most thoughtful has come from New York magazine's Eric Levitts in a
