Dan Labotte's co-editor of New Politics, who has an article in Jacobin discussing the

Democrats' new so-called Better Deal, is with us on this installment of

Jackubin radio to discuss his view of the Democratic Party's

feeble attempt to win back the working class.

They call it a better deal and Dan calls it a bullshit deal. We then talked to Jeremy Bendic

Kamer, professor of ethics at Case Western Reserve. Jeremy calls Donald Trump

an authoritarian arbitrator and says those who fear Trump is flirting with fascism

are misreading him, and by doing so, they're also misreading neoliberalism.

While Trump may ride fascist undercurrents when he wants, he has at core an arbitrary and

Bendic Kamer makes the case that his arbitrarionism is the threat of the

21st century where neoliberal rationality dissolves any public good including accountability

and truth.

And finally, on Jackman Radio, Dr. Adam Gaffney, physician writer, early stage researcher, and health care advocate is with us to talk

about the historic demise of the Republican efforts to repeal skinny or otherwise and replace

Obamacare.

He also explains why the tepid revival of a public

option the Democrats are proposing won't work. Dr. Gaffney believes

truly universal health care is a human right and we'll ask him what realistic paths are now open

to finally achieving it.
