Okay, so ever since I was interested in true crime, I have always had the dream that I would solve a cold case based on the research that I found.

You know, I've been watching SVU long before is probably appropriate that I was watching a show like that but like the idea that someone like us could solve one of these cases could it be too crazy to be true or could it happen? It happens.

But like new eyes, fresh eyes see it and they're like, well what about this?

It's my dream.

Well, October 22nd, 1989, 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling, his younger brother Trevor, and

Jacob's friend Aaron Larson called Jacob's mom Patty, who was at a dinner party, to ask permission to ride their bikes to go get a movie around the

quarter.

It was around 9 PM so his mom said no it's after dark cars won't be able to see you which

side note we definitely need to bring back dinner parties,

because that sounded fun.

Dinner parties, it just sounds so fancy now.

Yeah.

When they hung up the phone, they did what any other group of boys would do they devised a new plan they

called their parents back only this time they were like we're gonna talk to dad so

they talked to Jacob's dad Jerry they told him they would have flashlights, they would wear reflective vests, they would be together, they would stay together, and the video store was only four blocks away. So can we go? So Jerry is like, you know what, they, everything seems like it's going to work out.

Dad's always relent. They're always like, whatever I have to do the least amount of work with okay.
