I'm stoked today. You know what, I'm not going to lie. I am stoked today. I'm stoked. Why? Because the

Grammy nominations just came in and I got nominated for my first ever Grammy. An album that I did with

John Batiste, it's Corey Wong and John Batiste Meditations. Very different from most of the music that I do,

and it is even in the best new age album category.

Never thought that I'd say I'm a new age artist, but I'll take it.

And if any of you happen to be voting Grammy members, I mean, come on, holler at your boy, as they used to say in like 2008 or whatever.

Come at me with it.

Speaking of Grammys, today's guest, Jacob Collier,

was just nominated for Album of the Year for Jesse Volume 3.

He's been working on a four-part series, four albums.

This album that he just put out is my absolute favorite.

He's got that in-your-face funk, rhythmic thing, and his name is now becoming synonymous with

music in general. He's starting to become a more ubiquitous character in the sphere of pop culture even, which

is amazing because he's such a talented musician. To me, Jacob is a legend in the making.

He is an incredible musician and truly an ambassador for music with a capital M. He's just

an ambassador for what music is in the world.

And it's so fun to see not only being amazing at what he does, but you can tell he's just so

excited and having so much fun doing what he does and spreading that knowledge, spreading

the joy of music to others around him.

So this was really fun because Jacob and I have actually never met in person,

but we have so many mutual friends, and it's just been a long time coming.

So hopefully this is the first of many encounters that we have together.
