Hello my friends and welcome back to Unshaken, a channel dedicated to helping you navigate the life of faith in a world that sometimes makes that difficult.

We're just getting started, but I've been amazed at the interest shown in just the last few hours, So thank you for tuning in. I hope this

will be a blessing to you and to those you know who might be wrestling with what

they believe. This semester I've been teaching two different classes. One is

called becoming a disciple scholar and we've been

discussing how to balance the life of faith with the life of the intellect.

We'll be doing a lot of that on this channel. The other class centers on the

Book of Mormon and sticks with the Come Follow Me schedule we're all trying to

follow this year. The internet is full of amazing resources to help you with that and I'll

be posting videos that go along with your personal study, though more focused

on what the Book of Mormon teaches about navigating faith and doubt.

Today, however, is the perfect combination of those two classes because our Book of Mormon study for

this week is centered on becoming unshaken. My sister asked me if I had

somehow planned the earthquake that coincided with the launch of unshaken yesterday and

though I definitely don't have that kind of power I did see the relevance of

this week's book of Mormon study in the things we're trying to accomplish here.

So we're going to begin with Jacob Chapter 7, because I think it helps frame everything else we see in the second half of the Book of Jacob.

I'll be posting additional videos on chapters 4 through 6, but they'll come into

sharper focus if we see them through the lens of Jacob's encounter with an Antichrist.

President Ezra Taff Benson taught that one of the blessings of

studying the Book of Mormon is that it exposes the enemies of Christ.
