If you have any endurance left, if you have any strength to continue studying, after our long day in the vineyard working among the trees,

then Jacob's six is a fitting reward for you.

After 77 verses in chapter five, you get a reprieve and just 13 verses in Chapter 6, most of which build on what

Jacob taught us with the help of Zenus from before.

This will be Jacob's explanation. He gets the microphone back,

he's just explained all of these things or quoted all of this and now he

wants to talk a little bit about it to make sure that we understood that we didn't get lost in the

weeds of the wild fruit. So he says in chapter 6 verse 1 and 2, now behold my

brethren as I said unto you that I would prophesy, behold this is my prophecy.

That the things which this prophet Zenus spake concerning the house of Israel, and the which

he likened them unto a tame olive olive tree must surely come to pass.

I kind of chuckle there because Jacob's like, I'm going to give you my prophecy.

Oh, what is it?

Well, my prophecy is that Zenus's prophecy is correct.

It's like, oh, okay.

Well, I guess I'm grateful for the second witness.

Jacob is living the allegory himself after all.

And so in some ways he's saying, I'm willing to trust in this. I'm willing to just lay hold of this promise because I am a branch cut off.

I'm part of this group that was scattered to the nethermost part of the vineyard.

Thankfully, it was not a poor spot of ground,

it was a glorious one, and I get that.

I'm grateful for it.
