We're not going to spend a ton of time on that, previewing an FCS team that legitimately could beat Florida State.

We're not going to spend as much time on that in this episode as on a Q&A looking at sort of the state of the program and a few other questions dealing with that

they've been a few different times in terms of playing an FCS team that actually has a legitimate chance of beating them.

Jacksonville State actually very nearly beat Florida State in 2009,

bringing in a former LSU quarterback, Ryan Paraloo,

and they gave Florida State everything they could handle in 2009.

If you remember, Jacoby McDaniel forced a fumble

that ultimately led to the final

margin. Florida State won 19 to 9 that year. And again, that was a game where Florida State really

probably should have lost that game. And been a couple others that really were a lot closer than

they should have been.

But this one is another game where they're playing against one of the best teams in the FCS.

And in a normal year, this Jacksonville State team would probably be pretty likely to go deep in the FCS playoffs.

They've got a chance this year with this team to be the best team they've had since 2015 when they went to the FCS National Championship game.
