Summary

Matt Holliday played 15 seasons in the big leagues with the Rockies, A’s, Cardinals and Yankees. He is a seven-time MLB All-Star, a 2011 World Series champion and a 2007 NLCS MVP.

Jackson Holliday is an infielder with the Baltimore Orioles. He was selected number one overall by Baltimore in the 2022 MLB Amateur Draft. He made his MLB debut in April of 2024.

Ethan Holliday is a high school senior at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is considered a top prospect and is expected to be one of the top players selected at the 2025 MLB Amateur Draft.

Matt, Jackson and Ethan will be featured on the cover of our Spring 2025 Sports Spectrum magazine.

0:11.0	And it's because I had this opportunity right around Christmas time back in December to go to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and sit down with Matt Holiday, seven-time all-star,
0:24.5	Major League Baseball player. Matt was just on the podcast a couple days ago with Matt Forte,
0:30.3	so you can go back and listen to that conversation, kind of a solo interview, but also sit
0:35.6	down with Matt and his two sons, Jackson Holiday, first overall pick
0:40.7	in the 2022 MLB draft. He's now a stud young prospect, if you want to call him that, with the
0:48.8	Baltimore Orioles. He made his major league debut last year, and in 2025, great things are expected from Jackson
0:55.6	Holiday with those Baltimore Orioles. And Ethan Holiday, who is expected to follow in his older
1:02.4	brother's footsteps and be the number one overall pick in the 2025 MLB amateur draft. And it's
1:09.3	very possible that by the end of this year, Ethan Holiday,
1:12.9	could be a member of the Washington Nationals or whatever team selects him.
1:18.7	Washington is picking number one overall.
1:21.9	But what a cool dynamic going on within the Holiday family right now with Matt,
1:26.5	who's had such a storied MLB career,
1:30.6	World Series champion, seven-time All-Star, NLCS MVP, so much success.
1:36.4	And now he gets to watch his two sons kind of live out their baseball dreams.
