Jack Smith says that the comprehensive brief is necessary for the judge to determine how the Supreme Court ruling on immunity

Donald Trump's lawyers tried to prevent that 180 page brief from being filed. It's due on Thursday of this week at 5 p.m. by

arguing that the brief itself would be prejudicial to their client.

Judge Checkin rejected the Trump argument saying,

The judge noted that the Trump lawyers will be allowed to offer

evidence in their brief that is helpful to Donald Trump if they have it. The judge said,

a party's factual proffer does not conclusively establish anything.
