As Rachel Reeves' speech outlining all the terrible problems that lie ahead,

freaked the markets, freaked the public or calmed anybody ahead of her budget,

and is it totally unfair?

And it is that reforms' economic strategies are falling off the edge at a rate of knots

with the Kent County Council that they run actually increasing it looks council taxes

rather than managing to save money, but nobody seems to notice that kind of thing. Anyway, we look

at all of that. We discussed the land reform legislation that was going through Holyrood last week,

which seems very destined to make no difference whatsoever except complicate life considerably.

We look at various things from the Edinburgh trams to the likelihood that they're really

productive and to Trump's mind disturbing communist will win the New York mayor's election later today. Trump's threatening to cut off

all extra cash to New York City. So all of that and more in the podcast, those are the headlines.

No, although last night, it was a sobering thing.

I'm in Brussels for a meeting that I'm speaking at of stateless nations.

There's a meeting organised by a sort of branch of the EU that's more a lobby group within it,

that's got MSPs coming to sort of see how stateless nations are dealing with the threat of the far right.

So I had a bit of a rock and roll journey, it would have to be said.

But actually, just to cut to the chase, I'm sitting in a lovely hotel room, you know,

when you finally get here, out of which I could see a homeless person spending the night in a doorway of a very chic-looking office block, all tiedied away by the time, you know, the people
