All right, guys, we've got a special guest on the podcast today.

His name is J.T. English.

He's a pastor, professor, podcaster, and author.

He has a new book out now called Remember and Rehears, an invitation to participate in God's story. He's also the co-host of

the Knowing Faith podcast. He is the co-founder of the training, the church ministry, which is there to

basically help ministry leaders develop proven discipleship frameworks and strategies in their local

context. So, excuse me, from the beginning, I hate that we didn't have as much time with JT as we

normally do with other guests. So just the way the cookie crumbled this morning, wife woke up

very, very, very, very sick. So I had to, you know, take the boys of school. So I had to kind of push

his a little bit. And then I had another thing right after him. And so we didn't get to do another, you know, full hour or anything beyond that, but I'm sure

we'll have him back on. But in this particular podcast, we start out by talking about, okay, how do you

become a Christian, how did he become a professional Christian? But then we got onto a very interesting

discussion about discipleship, because his story and my story about how we came to faith and our

families of origin and things like that are fairly similar. And so we talked about

what is the church missing when it comes to discipleship? Why are there so many, especially young men,

just out there rudderless, just basically go in whichever way the tide takes them. So a very

interesting discussion about that. Then we get into the book, remember and rehearse about how

there's a story that we're all living in, right? And there are a lot of

people that can tell you Bible stories, but they can't tell you the story of the Bible. And that's
