pitcherless podcast network. My name is Jake Crumpler, and as always, I'm joined by pitcherless,

bowl pen expert, Rick Graham, Rick, it's been a wild week for relievers. It's in this line of business. It's always pretty crazy,

not just fantasy baseball in general, but in the specific line of work where we're talking

about relief pitchers. They're very volatile. But it has been crazy this week. It's been a crazy

start to the season as well. On a scale of one to ten, how crazy would you rate the elite pitchers this year?

I'd say like a 7.

You know, it's probably higher than average than usual.

The first couple of weeks or the first week or so, it's like, all right, everything's smooth sailing sailing so far and then like the last week and a half it's been a bit of a nightmare

trying to figure out either trying to figure out what's going on in certain situations or just

you know closers we thought were good and safe or just getting blown up or it's just been,

you know, if you don't have Mason Miller, it's like you're kind of fighting an uphill battle

when it comes to relievers, it feels like. Yeah, it has been really tough because even if guys

are holding onto the roles and they're clearly the closer,

not all of them are performing and there's plenty of closer committee situations and,

you know, it's been all over the place. Mason Miller's been incredible, as you mentioned, but

the rest of the league has been pretty tough to figure out. So we're going to do our best at

figuring out and helping fantasy managers decide whether to employ patients

with their closers or to panic at this point in the season. But first, as always, we're going to

look at the news and notes from the past week and we'll talk about some closers rising on Rick's
