Summary

On this week’s episode, I address a listener question about my perspective on finding peace when dealing with death.

This topic was on my mind when I was writing The Noticer Returns.

  • When I wrote this book, I wanted to have Jones deal with several things that people have a hard time with.
  • I wanted to handle this subject with sensitivity, but in a way that answers questions and gives people real comfort.

Listen in as I answer this question by reading a full chapter from The Noticer Returns.

0:34.8

this In the Loop podcast is the only thing that I do that there's not a huge

0:40.9

amount of preparation involved as far as my thought processes. And so, you know, I've, I've

0:48.6

had people come and say, hey, I love the In the Loop and you seem to kind of be bewildered sometimes I said well I am kind of

0:55.8

bewildered sometimes I because I think it's the only time you know that anybody's getting to hear me

1:03.4

think through this stuff out loud but but I really enjoy this and I enjoy it as well quick, you said bewildered, and this is a tangent that you might not appreciate me bringing up.

1:17.1

But I've got to tell you that that for some reason made me think of a video I saw recently of a group of people that got released onto the field at, what is the name of the stadium where

1:33.7

Alabama plays?

1:35.4

Oh yeah, at Bryant Stadium.

1:36.5

At Bryant Stadium.

1:37.6

So apparently, this is an annual thing.

1:39.5

You probably know about it, but they released fans onto the field, and then these fans sprint at the top

1:48.5

speed that they can, which for some of them is not very fast at all, but they are sprinting to get

1:54.5

the autograph of Coach Sabin or, I'm assuming, some other players or coaches.

1:59.6

Right, right.

2:00.4

And they're carrying their memorabilia.

2:02.2

You know, some of them, it's just a hat or a t-shirt or a football, and others have, you know, giant posters.

2:08.7

And of course, you know, all of the geniuses on YouTube have taken that video and put very dramatic music to it and slowed it down to slow motion.
