It's Jeff Mosher and Adam Cap,

and we're continuing a podcast series that started really with looking at the depth chart and we did

quarterbacks in our first episode and we're going to move on to running backs as we go through

offense then defense now the big point we were making in the quarterback episode adam and if

anybody hasn't listened to it check it out really good intel there is the sort of unusual nature of having a 15-year number

three quarterback and a backup quarterback number two who's on his rookie deal.

And we kind of talked about that juxtaposition there between McKee and Andy Dalton.

Here, in this situation with running backs, the hierarchy

makes a lot more sense, but I do wonder about potential movement as this season goes on.

Really, you know, we know Sequin Barclay's number one. You've got Tank Biggsby, a really good

backup who will talk about because I think there's an opportunity to use him more if they want to. But also, as a number three guy, Adam, Will

Shipley is someone, I don't want to say he took a step back last year, but numerically he actually

did. And I still think that there's more potential for him and maybe this offense can unlock it,

but I think last year would have been nicer to see a little bit more of that diverse skill

set that he has in the offense.

Yeah.

And contracts matter.

I want to get into kind of not only the depth chart, which is certainly important, but contracts always give you a clue and also trades. And if you trade it for a guy, Tank Bigsby last year got off to a very bad start. We told people he wasn't here just to do kickoff returns. That's nonsense. They're not giving up two draft picks. People buy anything that's out there. Sometimes I kind of laugh.

Yeah.

We said, yeah, folks, that's minor competitor to the bigger role.
