I did not expect the outcome or the sequence of events that led to the outcome Tuesday night, Jed.

I mean, Team Italy has a quality roster.

Team USA didn't know the situation.

And there's a now deleted clip of Mark DeRosa on MLB Network Tuesday morning saying that they had advanced to the quarterfinals already. So a lot of questions to be asked here. We could begin in a lot

of different places. Maybe we could just begin by saying, hey, nice work by the Italian team,

just coming in and playing a good game and winning. I mean, they got four and two-thirds score lists

from Michael Lorenzen, which that's a heck of a story for a guy that I think, to be quite honest,

is in that later stages of his big league career, maybe last chance saloon is a starter after signing with the Rockies this winter.

So for him to go on that stage and have a moment like that, hey, great baseball moment at the very least.

Certainly.

You know, great pitching by Michael Lorenzen. You know, he still looked like he had some gas in the tank. He wasn't, you know, he wasn't just up there. He's always been that high effort guy. You can, you can hear him grunting on the mound. And the velocity is there still. I mean, you know, he was, he was up to 95 96 is what I saw. And so, yeah, that's a, that's a quality start. They got, they got some great relief innings. And you could tell, like, there was a little bit of, I think, I think the, the realization that this game actually mattered, happened maybe in the fifth inning.
