Italians can lose it over broken pasta, but what makes Americans snap?

Hearing a request for lemonade and delivering something carbonated. I was visiting England once

and asked for a soda. I'm from New York, and I meant a Coke, obviously. My British mom warned me to ask for

Coca-Cola, and I, at eight, insisted I knew more and asked for a soda. I got something like a

club soda. You know, America has a lot of different regional foods, but as an East Coast guy,

a cheese steak is a really simple dish, composed of shredded up steak with melted cheese on a hoagie roll.

It's so simple I didn't think it could be messed up. And then I traveled some. Wow, I was

frickin' wrong. I've seen a cheese steak made in every wrong combination it could possibly be.

But the worst was ordering a Philadelphia cheese steak on a cruise ship and getting an actual steak

with a slice of cheese melted onto it. I was completely flabbergasted. That's not a cheese steak,

that's just sadness on a bun. That guy on the mildly interesting Reddit who posted a picture

of how the creamer sank to the bottom of his coffee, but he'd put the creamer in the coffee part like some kind of wild animal.

Raisins in the potato salad, at least to some.

I'm convinced someone saw a Waldorf salad for the first time and confused the apples

for potatoes.
