Today's episode is all about the American Italian Cultural Center and Museum.

We'll learn what it is, why it exists, and what they offer, among other things.

The last show is an interview with Neil Bodenheimer, who's the owner and partner in several local bars,

as well as the co-chair of the Foundation that puts on Tales of the Cocktail, which is ending today

as we recorded this.

It's the largest event of its kind of focused on the spirits industry.

Before we jump in, let me talk about the people that make this show possible.

Support comes from the Historic New Orleans Collection, the city's premier history museum, which is located at 520 Royal Street in the French Quarter.

They're just wrapping up as we record this until August 28th. They've had this great exhibit called French Quarter Life, people and

places in the Vucure. And it's an exhibit of about two dozen works of art that kind of covers

150 years of everything from the street from food vendors, which ties in today's

podcast a little bit, to Preservation Hall and the Jazz, just kind of different

takes on the city and different forms of art. So that runs to August 28th, but then I'm also

excited about starting in October. They're going to have a new exhibit about Spanish New Orleans
