0:07.3	to get your mind aligned with the truth of God. Let's stop for a moment and just shake
0:13.6	it all out, take a deep breath, push away the cares and anxieties of the day, prepare
0:19.7	your mind to receive God's truth and to ponder God's truth because His truth can set
0:24.7	you free. From things like temptation, addiction, compulsion, anxiety, God's truth can set
0:32.7	us free. And we need to go into this process of aligning our minds with His truth with
0:38.8	that sense of faith. Now today, we're going to continue reading Proverbs chapter 7, where
0:44.7	Solomon is teaching us how certain temptations can cost us our very lives. And people I know
0:51.7	who have been bound in sexual temptation can attest to this fact. It costs you your very life
0:58.2	in terms of the quality of your life and the integrity of your life and the things that really matter.
1:03.6	Today, we're going to be looking at Proverbs chapter 7, verses 21 through 23. And before we do

1:29.2	when a foolish young man has gone out in the evening toward the direction where he knows the
1:34.4	seductive woman is. And he's continuing that story here in verse 21. He says, with much seductive
1:40.9	speech, she persuades him. With her smooth talk, she compels him. Now, stop for a moment. Let's
1:48.6	think about that. Temptation is seductive, isn't it? It's trying to seduce us. It's trying to
1:56.0	lure us into a situation that isn't good for us. And yet it often succeeds in persuading us
2:04.3	to take its route. It says, with her smooth talk, she compels him. So smooth talk. What is that?
2:11.3	Well, it's appealing. It's wholesome. It's attractive. It's a kind of talk that kind of smooths
