I am going to try to not make this a terribly long pod.

I'm going to do my best.

But I was having dinner with a friend earlier this week and this friend works in baseball and we were having a lot of conversations about

the white socks writ large kind of where they're at as a franchise.

And we were talking, and I'm sitting there going,

man, it really wasn't that long ago

where things were looking up and that they were going to be around consistently.

I don't want to re-litigate everything that happened during or after the 2021 season, but I did

want to bring up like how quickly things can change.

Like how quickly things can turn

from people having optimism to people not having optimism and seeing where the white socks are now which is a

team that's consistently around the 20 games below 500.

They've won with 20% of their games.

Something like that, as I'm recording this.

Man. man the conversation that I had with this person started with Tim Anderson and where Tim Anderson is and how things fell off the rails and

clearly some of the personal stuff played a bigger role than maybe we even gave it credit.

It's still hard to believe that the Tim Anderson

that was is now this version of Tim Anderson.
