Summary

This week Radha, Loren, and Erin sit down to try and figure out just what the hell happened in 2018. Storm clouds gather as the ladies discuss what NatSec stories we missed - and what we’ll still be talking about in 10 years. But Radha brings the sunshine as we discuss the most important events for the military services in 2018 (which sadly has not resulted in any Space Marines). We wrap up with a review of the Administration’s secret villains and heroes and put a bow on it with movie plot lines that best capture 2018.

I'm drinking not alcoholic, but warm apple cider.

0:43.7

It's like almost interesting.

0:45.2

Almost.

0:45.6

But it's 8 in the morning for me, so I feel like.

0:47.7

It's true.

0:48.2

I mean, I'm drinking lemon lacroix, which has to be the most like hashtag basic thing that I

0:51.7

could be drinking right now.

0:52.8

I'm drinking warmed up coffee from yesterday afternoon.

0:58.2

Oh, that's terrible.

0:59.6

So, so it's like a very.

1:00.9

So that was pretty much 2018 in a nutshell right there.

1:04.4

It's a very rainy Sunday here in Washington.

1:07.5

As best I can tell, it's been raining for three days.

1:09.6

I feel like it's been raining for three years. And we don't even have a bottle of rosé between us. So with that,

1:17.2

shall we press on? Oh, we have some announcements. So in two weeks, instead of an actual episode,

1:22.9

we will all be on holiday. And instead, you will get the recording that Aaron and I did with Steve Leonard

1:28.1

and John Ismay at the World War I Museum in Kansas City. And it will be a fabulous and delightful
