My eyes open, glirily, blinking through the darkness, as I slowly sit up and feel

around my nightstand for my phone.

When I finally find it, I groan at the time.

It's a little past eleven thirty in the morning.

I can't sleep.

I know I should be making better use of my Friday night, and I usually do, but I've been

feeling exhausted all day.

I can't find a reason why.

Be sure I got enough sleep last night.

I had like five cups of coffee during the day, but I still find myself nodding off.

Maybe it works just really stressful.

I've been too busy to notice.

It's the only logical explanation.

However, as tired as I am, I can't seem to actually fall asleep.

I feel like I'm the edge of passing out, but instead of toppling over the edge, I'm just

dangling on top of it.

You know the feeling you get when you're about to sneeze, but the sneeze never comes?

It's good like that.

Physically, I'm dead tired, but mentally, I'm all over the place.

My brain feels like it's jumping inside of my skull, ricocheting off the bone walls,

bouncing in every possible direction.

My thoughts are clusters of colorful, indistinguishable blurs that speed around my mind like cars
