going to start by discussing the truly wonderful news that the team of bipartisan senators have reached

a deal on gun safety legislation. Then our main segment will share our conversation with writer and

new Pulitzer Prize winner, Jennifer Senior. And then of course we'll wrap up by tackling what's on

our minds outside politics. We have been watching the January 6th committee hearings. We watched the

first primetime hearing on Hot Mike as we mentioned last week. We watched Mondays hearing together.

Sarah was on Instagram live. I was on Twitter. We think it is really important to watch these

hearings in their entirety. And so we're doing our best to create easy and supportive environments

Select Committee on the January 6th attack on the US Capitol. And today's hearing really laid out

the case that former president Donald Trump told the whole entire world that if he lost the election
