Summary

(Genesis 45:4-8) One of the hardest things to do is forgive. So often, there are legitimate hurts and wrongs that push us toward bitterness. However, the life of Joesph teaches us that forgiveness will come as we learn to live in the presence of God.  (06207220830)  Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. 1:04.9

you the word today. It is the word forgive. Forgive. We're talking about how this man served the Lord in his difficulty.

1:13.6

We've learned that he did what he could right where he was.

1:16.5

He ministered to others.

1:17.7

He waited on God.

1:18.8

He refused to get stuck in his past.

1:21.6

But let's really get down to the nitty gritty.

1:23.6

This is where it gets a little sticky.

1:25.5

This is where it gets hard, frankly.

1:28.9

He chose to forgive. Remember I said he refused and there's a refusing and a choosing in life. Well,

1:34.3

he refused to get stuck in his past and then he had to choose intentionally, on purpose, to forgive

1:41.0

those who had done him wrong. And if you'll read those chapters slowly and meditatively,

1:48.5

you'll see this spirit of forgiveness woven through the whole thing.

1:53.4

But I think probably in those chapters,

1:55.5

the greatest summary of that forgiveness is in Joseph's own words.
