Oh, my gosh, you guys.

So, Lisa and I went to record yesterday.

We record on Tuesdays and I got home, had no internet. Internet is one of those things where you don't realize how much of your life is centered on it until you don't have it. And then you

have a new appreciation because I had to say, Lisa, there's no way

to record. What are we going to do? The most 2019 thing ever was when Karin texted me to say, like,

hey, the internet's out. At home, it might be like a part of the neighborhood. Like, it's more

than just my building. and out of that simple text

I extrapolated internet outage and read in my mind power outage and so later when Karan checked in

I was like don't open your fridge and she's like what the power is fine it's just the internet

that's not fine I was like oh I just thought things were very very grim are in the future, Lisa, because I think you're mentally in a space where all our appliances, our smart appliances. And so, of course, they're all connected. Because I try to talk to Alexa just to see if my internet was really out. And I was like, hey, Alexa. And she was like, I'm sorry. I cannot work right now. I was like, damn it. So I don't think you're too far off. In the future, when the internet goes down, all of our appliances are going to turn against us. Right. And they're just going to fail and falter. And we're all going to be a little bit hungry and crabby when the power goes out. Also, I didn't know that you

let her in your house. Oh, talk to Mama Mo about this. This was my mother's great idea, her

Christmas gift that she gave to my husband. I was not pleased, Mom. And she couldn't even tell

you about the power or the internet being out. She's useless.

I see her as a very expensive thermometer. I do use her every day where I say, Alexa, what is the temperature?

And I'm so sorry because if people are listening to this right now, their devices might be going off. I apologize that happened to me once when I was listening to a podcast. I just realized it. I'm sorry. Sorry, all of your kitchens are going baddie right now. Just all the lights are flashing on and off. The microwave is trying to make popcorn. Sorry. Sorry about that.
