Democratic momentum was a mirage, more good polls, more good economic news, and more

inviting and chaos on the other side.

I said and our guest said way back in March that we'd rather be us than them.

I'd rather be us than them.

Well, hang it.

Yeah, obviously we'd rather be it.

But you're talking about from a like electoral victory

chances perspective, right?

Yeah, absolutely.

Both, actually, right? It's both electoral victory and also, yeah, in terms of what we believe and what we're fighting for. That was the power of that.

By now, he was one of the first to say that Democratic momentum was real.

I mean, since last October on this podcast, I think, and he's continued to spread that world.

And we're in a lot of ways, I think, responsible along with Greg Sargent,

with the numbers and the decoupling from this being the usual presidential

approval referendum election to a real choice.
