And I was listening to a lecture on audible.com by Thomas Franks, who is the author of several books, one of which

is what's the matter with Kansas. And the lecture was about the economy and how important it is

for the conservative movement to ignore the economics of working people.

The aggrieved poor people who seem to vote for them out of family values and... Jesus.

Jesus, also just this constant state of aggrievement.

Is that a word?

It is now.

Being aggrieved against the liberal elite.

It's victim.

It's the liberal elite, the media, the liberal media, the liberal elite, the left coast, the, you know, the left wing New Yorkers who treat us like flyover country.

It's all about comparing their stigmata about how horribly, horribly they've been abused and treated by the elite, by the invisible elite that they can never quite pin down what they actually do or how they actually screw them.

But they know that they look down their nose at them.

Yeah, they look down their nose at us, the Middle America, the Red States.
