All right I am interrupting your regularly scheduled doom and gloom worrying to do a Bible study and talk about something that will still be very important to think about a year from now, five years from now, 30 years from now,

500 years from now, if the Lord Terries.

And we're going to be here in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 12, verse 38 through 44.

This is where Jesus warns us I mean it's crazy when I study

this passage that I compare it to what I see happening in the church today and I

think this is exactly what Jesus warned us about He warned us about fake spirituality in our

leadership and about money-grubing preachers. Like he's just really stopped and

just said, hey disciples, watch out for this. And we haven't heard. And we have not paid very good attention to it.

So we're going to dig through this passage today. We're going to understand it.

Here we are Mark chapter 12 verse 38. We're gonna read the whole section it's from here through

verse 44 and start just listen don't go for application yet just listen I mean not to me so to

speak but listen to what Jesus is saying here look at the scene as it plays out and think what is happening here.

Don't jump right to, people don't, they skip interpretation, they skip observation, they go straight

to application and that is why they then go I'm not really

sure how to understand the Bible because they never asked what it meant or what it said or

why it was like that they just said how do I apply it today and that's the last
