on doing something last week about coaches on the radio show that got punted because

of breaking news so today I want to start off the show with this so last week I texted

an NHL coach and I just said I want to ask you one question and this is the question what

is the biggest issue facing coaches today here's the response I think the question of what

really measures job security we see when in coaches let go we see losing coaches being

let go when their team wasn't built to win I think teams at exercise patients with players

in coaches get rewarded one way or another Trotson Nashville Bedner and Colorado Cooper

and Tampa sadly we live in a world where the first finger that is pointed is always at

the coach no matter if it is at the pro level or your kids games we choose our jobs it

is our reality that we accept and right now Elliot even a couple of games in there are

coaches that are feeling it's hot seat time already first of all I can tell that that

note came from a coach because it's a coach who wants a 10 year contract like Trotscott

or Cooper got or Jared Bedner is going to get to it is a coach holy self serving Batman

although I totally understand I don't think it's necessarily wrong I really don't think

it's necessarily wrong but I think it's a very self serving note that would be like

me saying how do you evaluate a broadcaster will you give them a 40 year contract and see

okay did they get better you don't want that person he or she they got better great value

but there it is hot seat as bizarre as it is you know here we are recording this podcast on

a Sunday evening 627 Eastern and there are a couple of coaches you know and the you know

the turtle next pretty tight around the neck that was tough to watch a New Jersey on Saturday night
