Do you ever feel like your life is a mess?

One of Jess’ favorite verses is about oxen, ‘“Where no oxen are, the trough is clean; but increase comes by the strength of an ox.” Proverbs 14:4. it essentially says: your stable is clean when there’s not a lot going on, but to see a strong harvest - you’re going to have a messy space.

So we will ask you again, do you feel like your life is a mess? A lot of times and a lot of days we get to have the option to have a tidy life or a fruitful one. We get to choose to spend our days using our gifts for the good of others and the glory of God which doesn’t always look as tidy as we hoped.

For a life of abundant mission, you should expect a bit of a mess. And we get to expect that God is bringing harvest and He is bringing fruit.

We’d encourage you as you start your week, to throw off the feeling of shame or frustration and put your eyes on the hope of harvest.

We give you the gift of Proverbs 14:4 and the reminder that God has placed you where you’re at on purpose. And we give you the gift of this question:

Do you want a tidy life or a fruitful one?

1:13.9	absolute favorite verse. I won't lie, but it is definitely up there. Top five. Proverbs 14.4.
1:22.2	Where there are no oxen, the trough is clean, but increase comes by the strength of an ox.

1:37.5	Here is what this verse says to me.
1:41.4	Where there is increase, where there is strength, the trough is not going to be clean.
1:49.3	You are going to have a mess.
1:52.8	So here's where I ask you, do you feel like your life is a mess?
1:59.4	A lot of times, a lot of days, I perceive that I have the option to have a
2:06.5	tidy life or a fruitful one. And I know that I could spend all of my energy making my life look like
2:16.8	I have it all together or I could spend my days
2:22.6	using what I've got for the good of others and the glory of God and that might mean that
2:28.2	my life, my house, my situation is a little untidy. It's fitting that this podcast is going to come out on a Monday
