High listeners, this is Ashley Flowers, and I want to tell you one last story.

0:06.8

A story that will reinforce something we say on our other podcast, Crime Junkie, all the time.

0:14.2

It's never just a man again.

0:18.1

So gather round and listen close.

0:43.9

I guess I should start with a disclaimer. I'm a huge crime junkie, both in the sense that I love

0:50.2

true crime and in that I listen to the podcast crime junkie. Along with my best friend Taylor,

0:55.1

I have practically drowned my life in crime documentaries, shows like date line 48 hours,

1:51.1

However, given some recent events in my life, I'm wondering if there's another meaning entirely.

1:57.9

So I'm coming back from a summer camp where I'm a counselor for some middle school kids,

2:09.0

and I'm driving completely alone. And to give you some perspective, this camp was like

2:15.3

two hours away from my hometown, and to get there, you have to take this hardly used interstate

2:22.5

along with a couple of back end roads, all while you're just completely surrounded by forests and

2:29.0

hills, just trees as far as the eye can see. So I'm just driving along. It's pretty early in the
