I read a lot of biographies.

And for inspiration, for ideas, because I enjoy it.

And I am fascinated by the arc of a life.

You know, the Hamilton Broadway musical, the idea that

a biography as a musical about a historical American historical figure

who is in the public's mind a second-tier figure.

Now, Hamilton, Hamilton was more influential than even some of the bigger names

on so much of what is modern-day America as handed down from our founders.

But not nearly as well-known to the general public, not a pop culture icon, per se,

before that musical. So it was interesting that he was the one chosen

as the subject of his life when you read my interviews.

And you look at the measure of a man after 80 years or 50 years

on this earth. You realize that 99.99% of what someone does

will be forgotten. And the things that are most remembered

are the things that at the time you wanted to get out of.

You know that big battle with the local school board.

Or that time you fought the federal government. Or that time

that you brought this big case, or you were under fire, or whatever else.

At that moment, it might have seemed horrible.

But that will be the moment at the end of your life when there's, you know,

three points on the continuum you point out.
