It's the last Friday of 2025, I guess until we get to like mid-December, where there won't be Louisville football coming up this weekend. It feels good to be able to say that. We're happy to be here with you on the eve of the season, just eight days away now

Dan, how are we feeling? Football, we can smell it now. We can taste it.

It is weird. weird like the football season

brings so much like eternal hope and i'm not saying it doesn't for college basketball but

like when college basketball starts there's just a lot going on like football's in the middle

of their season so like you could be coming off

like a devastating football loss um and your mind you know maybe is elsewhere you know it's a long

grind for basketball but like it's impossible to be in a bad mood at the beginning of football

season you're just like all right like you like, you know, we got 11, 12 games.

This seems doable.

Like, let's go out there and get it.

So, yeah, I mean, the air was crisp this morning.

There was a couple leaves on the ground.

So all the signs are there.

I sort of like the slow starts when it comes to the schedule and football, just because it seems like

there's such a buildup to college football season. Like the off season feels

eternal. Like previewing starts in in April and then by the time you get to August,

you're like, oh my God, is football ever going to start? And then you've got so much buildup.

And if you play like a tough schedule, you know, and you lose those first two weeks, it's like,
