My dilemma is that I was married 41 years.

My husband passed away last year.

Many, many years ago, about 35 years ago, we were maybe seven, eight years into our marriage.

I had four children.

The oldest one was six, and the youngest one was a newborn.

My husband took a job, and fairly soon within the job, he was staying up progressively

later and later each night.

It wouldn't be unusual that he would leave at 8 in the morning and perhaps not come home

until midnight.

A couple times he stayed out all night.

I was pretty overwhelmed just raising my children.

They were so small.

And one of my close friends kind of pulled my head out of the sand

and suggested that he was having an affair. I do believe that was what was going on. But I chose

to stay in the marriage because I had these four young children and I was putting all of my

effort into raising them.
