I want to start tonight by simply telling you how I proposed to my wife.

Now here's what you need to know. If you're a senior in here, you heard this story at your very first breakaway ever, but I firmly believe that you need to hear it again.

So it's about that time. So here we go.

For the ladies in the room, as I'm sharing this story, you're most likely going to find

yourself emotionally vomiting, and that's okay. That's what you've been wired to do. Lean into it.

Guys, you might just find yourself vomiting, and that's okay. It's what you've been wired to do. But this

is how I proposed to my wife. Several years ago, we were doing the long distancing. I was living

in Austin, Texas. It's great. So that's where I was living. Catherine was living in Dallas at the

time and we would travel on the weekends to see each other and so on this particular

weekend I convinced her that she was going to fly to see me I convinced her of that by buying her

a fully refundable ticket on southwest.com I sent her the e-confirmation then called southwest

and got my money back. On the Thursday before the Friday that I was going to propose,

I made my way to Dallas without her knowing.

And then on Friday during the day, I went up to her work,

and I was in cahoots with her boss and her coworkers,

and they lured Catherine away from her desk,

snuck into her purse, got her keys, came outside, unlocked her car,

put her keys back in the purse all the while. Catherine had no clue she was about to get
