I am Kemper Donovan, and today, dear listeners, we are doing something rather different.

We are going to get a little personal today about Agatha Christie because we are going

to talk about her religious faith and her personal religious beliefs, but we are going

to do that within the podcast's usual framework of discussing a story that Agatha Christie

wrote.

That short story is star over Bethlehem, and I am both thrilled and relieved that I am

not going to be doing this alone.

Yes, I have a guest co-host for you today who is much better qualified than I am to

be speaking about all these religious matters.

My co-host is Sarah Henlicky Wilson, a writer, a professor, a pastor, a fellow podcaster,

and most importantly, a huge Agatha Christie fan.

Sarah got her master's degree in divinity and her PhD in systematic theology at Princeton

Theological Seminary.

Currently, she is living in Japan and serving as a pastor at the Tokyo Lutheran Church.

She has published hundreds of articles in places like Christianity today, the Christian

century, books and culture, etc., etc.

She has written a memoir and a number of scholarly books.

She has also edited and contributed to a whole bunch more.
