| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Daily Dad podcast where we provide one lesson every day to help you |
| 0:12.2 | with your most important job being a dad. These are lessons inspired by ancient philosophy, |
| 0:17.7 | by practical wisdom, and insights from dads all over the world. |
| 0:22.8 | Thank you for listening, and we hope this helps. |
| 0:31.8 | It's all about the specifics. |
| 0:36.1 | It's funny how we talk about the most specific and singular thing in the world as if it is the |

| 1:33.2 | parents, there are strong evolutionary forces at work. That kid in your kid's class is somebody |
| 1:39.4 | else's most precious thing in the world. In fact, to them, that slobbering goober is the world. |
| 1:46.7 | What you feel about your family, how you do anything for them, how nearly everything else and |
| 1:51.4 | everyone else pales in comparison, that's how they think about their kids, too. |
