Have you heard of Japanese Paris syndrome?

Okay.

So apparently, this happened a lot around the Olympics, but apparently the Japanese embassy in Paris had to like set up a 24-hour hotline for like depressed Japanese tourists who expected Paris to be this like gorgeous, romantic, beautiful city.

And then they got there and it's like dirty and run down and nothing.

They're Japanese, so they're used to shit working, right?

And being clean.

And being clean.

And nothing is good and nothing is clean.

And it's still sort of romantic, but not the way they thought.

And they were genuinely getting depressed about it.

And they have coined this term Japanese Paris syndrome for like when you expect something

because the internet has told you it's going to be spectacular.

But then you show up and it's not cool and it's not good.

Yeah.

And I think New York City has found an amazing workaround. Erica, that is exact. I think we're about to say the same thing because it's right where my mind went. Because New York City, everyone knows is dirty. Yeah. It's gross. It's disgusting. It's crowded. It's loud. It will smell. It will smell like urine.

That is a feature, not a bug.

That's why you come.

You come here so that someone can yell, fuck you at you in the middle of the street.

And you can be like, yes, I'm alive.
