So I got an email yesterday and I appreciate the sentiments expressed in it.

A woman emailed me and said, Dan, I appreciate you not smoking a sup, treating us like children

and being one of these irrational optimists.

I was like, Oh, everything's going to be okay.

I appreciate you telling us the truth.

That email meant a lot to me and to the woman who sent it.

Thank you very much.

I'm bringing that up because I'm not an optimist.

I'm a realist and we are in real trouble.

And anyone telling you otherwise is just trying.

I don't know to tell you nice flowery thing so you continue to listen to the show.

I don't know why they're doing that.

You're all adults.

And listen to a responsibly put together show and you can be warned about things that are

happening.

So hopefully, hopefully we can head them off.

Why am I bringing this up today with the email?
