Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has proven to be good at a lot of things. At the top of the list might be his ability to evaluate quarterbacks. Day hand-picked 2021 quarterback recruit Kyle McCord very early in the process. In fact, Day turned away quarterback who were rated much higher than McCord, who committed to the Buckeyes last year. Since then, McCord has continued to rise up the rankings and is now a 5-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. 1:05.0	Jaybook and I have a wide-ranging show. We're gonna get into the movers and shakers for the latest top 24-7 sports rankings for the 2021 class. Obviously we're going to look at
1:14.4	Buckeye commits and guys the Buckeyes are in on. Jaybrook let's start with
1:18.1	Kyle McCord. He continues to rise up the rankings. He is now a five-star
1:22.1	quarterback Ryan Day early on pegged him as a
1:25.2	guy that he loved. He had his choice between J.J. McCarthy and Kyle McCord and Ryan Day
1:29.9	picked Kyle McCord. Just your thoughts on Kyle McCord as a prospect and the fact
1:34.2	that he moved up to a five-star ranking. Yeah I'm very happy for the kid that he
1:38.5	got that ranking lump there. But it's a testament to Ryan Day in his eye for talent. A lot of people were saying that McCarthy was the best prospect, but Ryan Day thought otherwise.
1:51.0	And I truly believe that if Ryan Day would have been full in on McCarthy, he would have been a buck guy.
1:57.0	But Day saw something in Kyle McCour, he has a big time arm.

2:31.0	a big time talent it just speaks volumes for Ryan Day and guys
2:35.4	trusting him to get the most out of them as far as the quarterback position.
